“I followed my heart’s desire when I trained in the art of Spiritual Direction with Sycamore Spirituality Center, and said “good-bye” to the practice of law. In meeting with individuals and small groups for interfaith spiritual companioning, I hold space, deeply listen, and together notice how Spirit moves through our many different lived experiences. I have experienced great joy facilitating women’s retreats and small groups over the years, and am always in awe of wisdom shared and healing connections made in circles of women.
My Christian spiritual journey has taken me from the Lutheran Church of my youth, to the Catholic Church after marrying, and now to Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church. Along the way, my faith journey has been enriched by learning about and adopting practices from many other faith traditions, including meditation, yoga and Reiki. I also enjoy spending time baking bread, cooking vegetarian dishes, reading, journaling, walking, knitting and crocheting. I live in St. Matthews with my husband, Greg Lindauer, and our two small dogs.” Karen Hensel
