Our guide: Artist, Joan Zehnder, LAT
Saturday, September 16, 2017
Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. Circle begins at 9:30 Retreat ends at 4 p.m.
Our woman’s retreat will be held at the beautiful retreat center, Valaterra, 7101 Shrader Lane, LaGrange, KY
This day of reflection is an invitation to create a Sacred Space in which it is safe to allow self awareness to grow and the unexpected to happen. The internal experience of being in Sacred time and space is a feeling of timelessness in which only the HERE AND NOW exists, a focus on what is happening both inside and outside of our self.
We will explore through stillness, reflection, and creative expression how light and darkness are both important teachers in our life journey. We will visit our Soul Self and our Shadow Self. The inside and outside of ourselves each contain our unique and precious gifts as well as those aspects that hide those gifts — even from ourselves.
We will be using collage pictures and shoe boxes as we create images of our Inner and Outer Self. The process is easy and fun and most often very enlightening. If you have a shoe box or any other type of box you prefer to use – we ask that you bring it. We will have extra shoe boxes available.
If you would like to do some reading before the retreat, “Broken Open” by Elizabeth Leeser is recommended. This is NOT required, but is a resource Joan is using.
We will also take the time to connect with one another in a circle as an avenue to become more deeply aware of the uniqueness and Sacredness of Life within and all around us.
Max: 15 participants
Light morning refreshments and coffee/tea/chocolate provided throughout the day; to accommodate your own dietary needs, please bring your lunch and any snacks you may need. There is a huge kitchen with refrigerator and microwave for our use.
