Feminine Journey Wheel

a day retreat led by artist, Debbie Cannatella

Saturday, September 28
10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Hopscotch House
8221 Wolf Pen Branch Road, Prospect, KY

Join us for a day of reflection and renewal as we use the imagery of a life wheel of the various stages of the feminine journey.  This wonderful day Debbie has planned for us includes two opportunities to create art that will enhance this experience, a Life Walk around the wheel that begins in the East at “Birth through Childhood” and circles around to the East Again for “Rebirth Woman” (with 5 other stages on the wheel), circle and group time.  We will also have time to journal our experience.  If the weather permits, we will enjoy our life wheel walk on the labyrinth on the beautiful grounds of Hopscotch House.  Debbie brings us years of experience leading women’s spiritual retreats and circles. She will also share with us her creative process of “doodling” as we enjoy a fun art activity in the afternoon to express where we are on our journey.

About our guide for the day:

Debbie Cannatella began her career as a full-time gallery artist when she relocated to Chicago from Baton Rouge in 2005 after 20 years of painting part-time. Since then, she’s traveled nationally teaching workshops, opened two galleries in Texas, and has won awards in Chicago, Cincinnati, and throughout the southern states. She relocated with her husband to Northern Kentucky in 2017. There, she has resurrected metalsmithing, expanding design into enameling, continues to paint in watercolor and oil, and is a weaver. In 2018 she spent two-weeks at PRO VOBIS Artist Residence in Perugia, Italy followed by an exhibition at Palazzo Franchi in Assisi. She has led workshops and retreats, combining art making with introspection and personal growth. She has created woman’s retreats and ceremonies for Spirit Sisters, The Midwest UU Women’s Connection, the Southwest UU Women’s Conference, and the Texas UBarU Women’s Retreat, and has led women’s circles in Louisiana and Texas.
