Spirit of Sophia is excited to host a Women’s Rites of Passage Circle facilitated by Paula D’Arcy, author and international retreat and seminar leader . It will be held October 23-27, 2019 at Nazareth Retreat Center in Bardstown, Kentucky. The Rites of Passage circle is limited to 10 participants. The total cost of this program is $650. A few partial scholarships are available.
Paula writes, “During these days each woman is encouraged to reflect on her own journey, listening to her heart and asking the question “Who am I?” beyond the stories I tell about myself and the roles I’ve played. How fully am I showing up in life?
“A strong sense of community develops when we sit together in the circle, but the Rites of Passage will ask each woman to spend time with herself outside of the circle, thinking about the meaning of her present threshold, and finding ways to honor the power and truth of her own experience. These times of personal reflection are when the teachings that arise during the rituals can be integrated, and this is a vital part of the experience. A Rites of Passage might be called a time of being alone yet together.
“The days will also include music, film, ritual, periods of silence/solitude and time spent in Nature. As the days progress the conversation deepens as to how we might meet the larger summons of the world’s needs and the world’s heart.” Each woman is asked to bring a journal.

Cost details: The total cost of $650 includes the cost of the program and your room and meals at Nazareth Retreat Center. A $100 non-refundable deposit will be required to secure your place in the circle. The remainder will be due by August 1, 2019. Payments will be made to Spirit of Sophia.
